Wednesday, May 11, 2011 (Week Three)

Today I was in EC. I came in and walked around and said hi to all the kids. The girls were doing grammer worksheets so I checked Magic's and Kate checked Goose's. I checked it and there were some wrong so I gave it back to her and told her which ones were wrong. I also looked at Goose's and she had to put words of a sentence into a order that made sense but a few were right so I helped her put them in the right order. Bird had to was his hands before we went down to lunch so I told him to go was his hands because he was picking at his ear and he said "Hand sanitizer!" I said "Soap and water, not handsanitizer so go to the bathroom." "NO! No wash hands. No bathroom." Gma overheard us and said "Bird, go wash you hands right now or no computer." He immediately got up and went into the bathroom. He shut the door so Gma told me to go open it and make sure that he used soap and water. I went into the bathroom said "Are you using soap?" "No soap!" "Bird, you need to use soap." "NO!!" He yelled that and slammed his fists on the sink. Gma heard him do that and yelled "Rachael get away from him now!" Not really knowing what to do I walked quickly away from him and went out into the room. Gma went in there and said "Bird, you have to  use soap and you dont need to act like that. That behavior is inappropriate and unexceptable." He finished washing his hands and left the bathroom and went and sat down. Barb later told me that if he ever gets like that again around me that I need to get away from him as soon as possible because he could snap and hit me or something.
Lunch went along as usual.
When we got back to the class we were supposed to go fly airplanes off of the gym floor but because of the AP testing going on, we werent able to do that. While Yoosh made other plans for the lesson we got "hang out time" for fifteen minutes.
