One day a week I go to the Art class at the elementary school, and today was that day. I walk over, check in, and head to the classroom. We have been working on the Mothers Day pottery but today we get them back!! I came in and the kids were working on this new project and Art Lady was at the violet table organizing the pottery with the right back. I go over there and me and her get to stapling the bags closed. I like that class, but the kids are only in there for like 10 minutes so I don't really know any of them that well except for the one boy, Attitude, who I love. So I help out Art Lady, walk around and look at all the kids pictures, and then they leave.
The next class comes, which I'm kinda close to.. but not really. One girl in the class goes to my church so she is the only one that I really know in that class. They were being SO bad though, they're never really good but today they were being really bad. Usually they end up with silent art by the end of their class but today they got it within the first few minutes they were in the class. Today was a makeup day for them to finish all of the art that they didn't finish before. I help Art Lady pass out all of the work. After about ten minutes of them being in there, I leave for lunch.
I come back from lunch and my favorite class is already in there. One of the girls at the fun table comes and opens the door for me. She smiles and is like "Umm, who are you?" "Ha ha, very funny missy." She let me in and I come and Art Lady sees me and calls me over. MY POTTERY. It is beautiful, my momma will love it. The blue on it wasn't shiny like all the other colors were so that was a little disappointing, but oh well.
I walk around and look at all the kids pictures that they are finishing and they are all really good of course. Then me and Ar Lady start showing kids their pottery and putting it in the bags they decorated. We would each call a name and that kid would come and look at it and then go sit down. It was funny, I called one boy over and I was holding someone elses pottery and he looked at it and went "Wow, oohhhh that's good!" (He thought it was his..) "Hahah, bud.. this isn't yours" So I picked up his and showed him and he went "Wow, ohhhh that's good too!!" I was like "Hahaha yes it is!".
We bag all of them up and then I walk around and go hang out with my kids. They were painting their animal scenes and the little boy was showing me his and they were sheep, and he said he needed help because he didn't know how to draw a sheep. So I told him to look at the shapes and just start out drawing the shapes he sees. I come back and the sheep look like little spike balls with a head and legs, it was really funny. And then he starts to paint them brown, I was like "Uhh, sheep are usually brown. The ones in the picture are white. These look like little brown balls walking around!" He laughed and was like "Oh well, I don't care!", they're crazy.
The kids start cleaning up and I start washing out the water bowls and then go to pass out the pottery. As we gave individual kids there pottery they lined up so I said bye to all of them as they walked out. After they were all gone, I helped Art Lady clean up and then I left too. With my pottery!
