Tuesday, May 3, 2011 (Week Two)

Today I was in the EC class at the high school, yesterday I was in Teacher Cadet so this was my first day seeing the kids. I came in and hung out with the usual group thats there, I walked around helping and talking to all the kids. Lowa is now gone, last Friday was her last day. Sad, I know. I went over to Mama and she was messing around with her little box and her cards. She was being extra gaseous today... ew. I went over and talked to Bird. As usual he turned his back to me, wanting me to scratch it, today I actually did though. But not for long.
We all walked to lunch and I was walking with Tired, and we just had a little conversation walking down the halls... its pretty cute.
When we got to lunch I asked glasses if he missed Lowa and he said "Yeah", I can tell that everyone misses her. We all enjoyed our lunches as usual. Darling did drop Smile out of his wheel chair... that was not fun. Smile looked so confused like he had absolutely no clue what just happened.
When we got back to the room, me and Glasses went down to get his medicine from Nurse Linda. Everytime we walk in Nurse Linda says "Glasses, Glasses, is NOT a crocodile!", it actually rhymes with his real name so its really funny. We always laugh and he jumps around a little. We get in and he just stands around like he has no idea what to do. Remember that he has gotten his medicine from Nurse Linda every day of high school almost and he has gone to our school for five or six years. I was like "Glasses, what are you doing?! Get moving!!" I was just kidding, when I type what I said it sounds kinda mean.. but it wasnt. He turned around and got his little cup, filled it up with water, and then stood there drinking (and staring at me) for like ten minutes.  Finally he shuffled around to get his apple sauce cup and gave it to Nurse Linda and she dropped all seven of his pills in the cup. He would take a spoonfull, look at me, look down, look at me, look down, and take another bite. This goes on for like fifteen more minutes untill he finishes. "Did it!", I go "Good job Glasses, now wash it out and put it in your bag." He gets it, rinses it a little, and shows it to me. The whole top part was still covered in apple sauce, so I say while laughing "A little more bud" "Did it!". We say bye and thank you to Nurse Linda and we head back to the class.
When we get back to the class all the kids are just sitting around, getting ready for reading class. I walk around and make sure everyone has their hands washed and their pencils sharpened. Yoosh starts the lesson and its about crocodiles. As they go over the lesson I always walk around and make sure the kids are paying attention and writing the answers down and following along. I also go by the kids when they read out loud and help them with some of the harder words. The bell rings and me and Kate leave.
